Apple's official position appears to be that the signal loss is normal and users should either/both change how they hold the phone or use a case. That seem absurd, especially considering the dropped called demonstrated in these videos.

Regardless, here is the latest. New tests with a second iPhone 4 in addition to testing the iPhone 4 with a case.
